Scoring Process

Exam Completion

When you complete the exam section, the computer will generate a confirmation. This confirms that the answers you submitted have been received by the AICPA.

Test section ID number

In your online account under the Exam History, a section ID number (located on the Notice to Schedule (NTS))  will appear. If this is not listed, do not call the office. This happens frequently. As long as you received a confirmation at the end of the exam, a score will be uploaded.

“W” Status

In your online account under the Exam History, a “W” will appear. This stands for “Waiting for Score”. It will eventually be replaced with the actual score. If the “W” does not appear, do not contact the office. This happens frequently. As long as you received a confirmation at the end of the exam, a score will be uploaded.

How the exam is scored

The exam is scored by the AICPA.  Please review the AICPA's Scoring FAQs for more details. 

Request Score Review

Candidates can request a review of their score. This gives additional assurance that the operational quality controls in place at the time of testing were completed, ensuring reported scores are accurate. Please be advised that fees do apply. For more information, please contact the NASBA at www.nasba.org.
